About Me
I I am a project manager and instructional designer at the Florida Center for Interactive Media at Florida State University. My work involves managing online course development for educators throughout the state of Florida and building and maintaining websites for educational entities. I also collaborate with the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) on work related to effective professional learning for educators and the continuous improvement of Florida's university and college teacher preparation programs. I have a Master’s degree in education and was a National Board certified Assistant Professor working with students with learning disabilities and other struggling learners for ten years. I also spent several years working at the FDOE in the area of special education where I provided technical assistance and support to school districts, administrators, families and educators.
In my personal life I volunteer with a local animal rescue and have three rescued furbabies. I love domestic and international travel and have been to quite a few states and countries. My favorite thing to do is spend time outside in nature, especially on a local river where my family has a home. Outside of my education work, I am a part time real estate investor with my husband and father and my hobby is online sales of vintage and other unique second hand items.
